Creating Midlife Mojo

Ditch the overwhelm and create the change you want to see in your own life.

The challenges of midlife can be overwhelming, and resemble a pressure cooker at full tilt.

Our mental load can be at capacity experiencing our huge variety of demands, including our career, running a business, the home fleet command, caring for extended family, and – let’s not forget – parenting.

Then there are the internal changes such as fluctuating hormones and how that is being played out in our bodies. We often ignore our body’s messages and easy to delegate this to the bottom of the to-do list. It’s not unusual to feel ill-equipped to navigate this tricky mid-life hormonal terrain. It’s overwhelming and it never seems to end.

Is this you?

  • Your career has stalled. You no longer feel the same spark, and you’re wondering if you should – or could – change careers
  • You just don’t feel like yourself but you’re unclear as to how you get this feeling back
  • This is the year things are going to be different – but you’re not sure WHAT, exactly, you want
  • You feel stuck. You are keen on making changes to improve your life, but you’ve tried a few things already and you’re not sure how, exactly, to make real change.

Coaching can give you clarity and confidence to carve your own path. Let my clients explain…

"Stuck and frustrated"

"I am incredibly grateful to have found Jessica and for the opportunity to be coached by her. At the time I started with Jessica, on the face of it, I was successful with a great career as a senior public servant. I felt incredibly stuck and frustrated. I have lost a sense of contribution in my career and felt like my family was second fiddle to my job and travel.

After only five sessions with Jessica, my life looks very different. I am starting a new role after 10 years in the same position, and have attained my dream job on the side.

Jessica is non-judgemental. Her capacity to ask questions that hit on the core issue is uncanny. What I enjoy most about our coaching sessions is that Jessica is open and engaging and has a great sense of humour which makes you feel comfortable despite touching on tricky topics. Most helpful is Jessica’s capacity to introduce sound strategies, including ‘homework’ to help you move forward and implement the learnings from each coaching session. I cannot recommend Jessica highly enough." (Alicia Bennett)

"Approachable and non-judgemental"

"I sat down with Jessica and together we downloaded my thoughts, perceived obstacles, and plans. I am peri-menopausal so this has been (for me) the best way of gaining the momentum and drive that I seem to have recently lost.

Jessica knew nothing about my workplace, but within a short amount of time, I had a plan for work.

The scattered thoughts about where I wanted to go in my working life now have structure and make things look achievable.

I would recommend Jessica as she is approachable, non-judgemental, and very focused on helping people make the changes needed in order to reach the goals they have set in place." (Kim Barnes.)

"Eye-opening, life-defining moment"

"My experience with Jessica was a truly eye-opening, life-defining moment.

For so long I'd been treading water without even realising it. An opportunity arose to "reinvent" myself, but into what? With Jessica's gift of true understanding and intuition, I found myself sitting with Jessica for an effortless period of time and enjoying a conversation of true self-discovery.

She has an innate ability to focus on the important things that drive people to where they are and where they want to be. She also has the ability to bridge the gap and help a person start moving in the right direction to achieve those positive outcomes. Sincerest gratitude as you have literally changed my life for the better." (Anonymous)

About the presenter, Jessica Macdonald

There have been several key times in my life when I’ve needed to reinvent myself. When I failed my exams aged 17 years, all my peers went to university while I stayed at home to re-sist the exams, and landed an amazing job at the Science Museum in London teaching science to children. When all my friends got married, workshipping at the altar of Ikea, I got dumped by the love of my life (or so I thought) – which was the impetus for me immigrating by myself to New Zealand, and in 2018, to Australia with my young family.

When I was managing a particularly challenging team, my then-boss suggested I get a coach. Coaching changed my life rapidly, I completed an MBA in New Zealand and I moved to Los Angeles to complete a semester at UCLA. And I stopped working in hospitals and went to work for the New Zealand Government.

Coaching teams, colleagues, and clients to gain clarity and confidence to reinvent their life is what I love. Identifying what the defining blocks in someone’s life are, and empowering them to take specific action to achieve their goals is amazing. What I love about coaching is it gives people clarity on where they want to go and the confidence to get there.

Along the way, I got married, had three children (close together), and two stepchildren (young adults), I have my own business and I have a dog.

From overwhelmed to clear and confident

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if life replicated the movies and we could snap our fingers and your next step would appear like the yellow brick road?

So I have created this immersion to find your midlife mojo. Creating Midlife Mojo is an immersive experience, which means that, together we can create your future.

Let’s make your midlife meaningful, together.

We will cover:

  • Identify where you are now and where you want to get to. What is it that you want to be different? What are the feelings that you want to experience? What are the changes that you would like to see in your own life? It is time for big blue sky thinking.
  • What do you have the capacity for? Where are you getting frustrated and why? Recognise where you are getting in your own way so that you can stop sabotaging yourself. What is holding you back?
  • Strategies and tools to manage the setbacks on the road to where you want to get to.
  • Are your boundaries working for you? Understanding how to introduce kind boundaries so that you can reduce feelings of chaos and overwhelm. Find confidence in your decision-making and reinforce boundaries, at work, home, and elsewhere, so you can flourish, guilt-free, freeing up your time to spend doing things that you *actually* want to do.
  • Your body – what is it telling you? Recognise perimenopausal symptoms and learn natural and scientific options to optimise your health and well-being. Make lifestyle choices that will enhance your brain health.
  • Creating habits and 10 reasons why people don’t change. Know and implement the secrets to creating habits that stick and achieve the change that you want to see, not just tomorrow, but for years to come.
  • Live your values. Identify the values that enable you to thrive at work. Knowing your values gives you clarity in your career path so that you know what you’re doing, you’re connected to your deeper purpose, and you feel far more motivated and joyous. Know your values and recognise the environment where you thrive.

Leave with your bespoke Vitality Plan

Throughout the immersion, we will create your comprehensive, individualised Vitality Plan to get your life back on track. This will identify where you want to go, and what you will do to get there.

Your vitality plan will identify:

  • Where do you want to be
  • Your action plan to get there

Your Vitality Plan is specifically designed for your unique life, so you know exactly what you’re doing, why, and how.

It is time to relocate your joy and create your midlife mojo.
